Most setups score 60-75. The biggest score lifts come from monitor height (laptop riser or arm) and chair lumbar support — usually under $100 combined.

How the score works

Each of 7 dimensions scores 0-15 based on how close to OSHA/BIFMA/Cornell ergonomic guidelines your setup is. Weighted by injury-risk impact: monitor height + chair (highest), keyboard + mouse + posture (medium), lighting + standing time (lower). Score grade ranges: 90+ excellent / 75-89 good / 60-74 ok with fixes / 45-59 needs intervention / below 45 high musculoskeletal injury risk over multi-year horizon.
