The short version. LUCRIN makes eight styles for the iPhone 17, and for most buyers the choice comes down to two: the Luxury Wallet, from $225, and the Sleeve, from $149. The wallet is a folio you keep the phone in while you use it, and it carries three cards and cash and charges through the case, per LUCRIN. The sleeve is a lined leather pocket the phone travels in and comes out of to be used. If you want to stop carrying a separate wallet, buy the Luxury Wallet. If you only want the phone covered between uses and want to spend less, buy the Sleeve. If you want a case that stays on and costs the least, LUCRIN's Back Cover starts at $109.

In handWhen we first covered LUCRIN, the friction we named was not the leather or the price. It was the catalogue: deep enough that choosing is harder than buying. This page resolves that one problem for the iPhone 17. It sets all eight of LUCRIN's iPhone 17 styles side by side, says what each one is for using LUCRIN's own published descriptions, and then puts the two styles we have in hand against each other in detail.
The decision logic here is editorial reasoning from published features: what the case carries, whether the phone stays in it, how it charges, how it protects, and what it costs. It is not a ranking of LUCRIN against other brands. That comparison, and the explanation of what full-grain actually means, are on the first LUCRIN page and are not repeated here.
DeskDeploy has two LUCRIN iPhone 17 styles in hand: the Luxury Wallet and a Sleeve. Both came in the September 2026 box described on our first LUCRIN page, shipped from LUCRIN's Salt Lake City warehouse.
What handling those pieces established is what the first page already reported, and nothing more: the leather is full-grain, the cut edges are dense and fibrous, and the stitch density is consistent with the full-grain claim. Every other statement on this page about either style, including card capacity, charging, the magnetic flap and the bumper, is LUCRIN's published specification and is labelled as such where it appears. MagSafe compatibility in particular is the maker's specification, not a pull test: we handled the wallet, we did not measure magnet hold or time a charge through it.
We are not naming the sleeve variant, the colour or the leather of either piece, and we are not giving a piece count. The box was not counted against a packing list, and a figure we cannot stand behind would be a guess presented as a fact.
Prices are LUCRIN's own "from" prices on lucrin.com, read on 3 October 2026. The "who it suits" column is our reasoning from the published description. Three styles, the Pouch with Pocket, the Belt Case and the Crossbody Pouch, are listed by name and price only, because we have not relied on any feature claim for them.

* We have one LUCRIN iPhone 17 sleeve in hand and are not stating which of the two sleeve variants it is, so both sleeve rows carry the flag and nothing on this page separates the two sleeves by handling. Descriptions are LUCRIN's, read from lucrin.com on 3 October 2026. Prices move.
Bar length is proportional to LUCRIN's "from" price on a scale of $0 to $350, so the gap between any two styles is the gap you would pay. The two styles we have in hand are in the darker tone.
These two are not competing versions of the same thing. They answer different questions about how you carry, and once you know which question is yours the choice mostly makes itself. Read across each row: the left column is the wallet, the right column is the sleeve.
Ask whether the phone should be covered while you use it or only while you carry it. The Luxury Wallet covers it in both states: the bumper holds the phone, the flap covers the screen, and per LUCRIN you can take a call without opening it and charge it without taking it out. The sleeve covers it only in transit. The moment the phone is in your hand, it is a bare phone.
That makes the sleeve the choice for people who already like their iPhone naked and want leather for the pocket and the bag, and the wallet the choice for people who want one object to leave the house with. It is also why the $76 gap between the two entry prices is not really a premium for the same thing. The wallet is doing a second job, the one your current wallet does.
If you carry cards in a separate wallet you are happy with, the wallet's main extra function is one you will not use, and the Sleeve at $149 is the better spend. If you are about to replace a wallet anyway, the Luxury Wallet's price is closer to the cost of a phone case plus a wallet than to the cost of a phone case alone.
For readers who are not choosing between the two styles above, this is the whole range sorted by the habit it serves.
Luxury Wallet, from $225
Three card slots, a bill pocket, calls with the flap closed and MagSafe and Qi charging through the case, all per LUCRIN. In hand, and full-grain in the piece we hold.
Classic Sleeve, from $149
Full-grain, microfiber lined, snug, and described by LUCRIN as moulding to the phone over time. The Sleeve with Pull-Tab, from $155, is the same idea with a tab that lifts the phone out, which matters most if a snug sleeve is the kind you struggle to empty.
Back Cover, from $109
The lowest entry price in the range. Full-grain, shock-resistant, MagSafe compatible and microfiber lined, per LUCRIN. It leaves the screen open, so it suits people who want a case rather than a cover.
Zip Wallet, from $255
A zip closure, card slots and a soft lining, per LUCRIN. The choice over the Luxury Wallet if you want the contents sealed rather than held by a flap.
Belt Case, Pouch with Pocket, Crossbody Pouch
From $215, $165 and $329 respectively. We are listing these by name and price only, so read LUCRIN's own product page for what each one carries before you buy.
Buy the Luxury Wallet if you want the phone to stay in its case while you use it and you want it to carry cards and cash: LUCRIN lists three card slots, a dedicated bill pocket, calls with the case closed, and MagSafe and Qi wireless charging. Buy the Sleeve if the phone only needs covering while it travels in a pocket or bag and you take it out to use it. The Sleeve starts at $149 against $225 for the Luxury Wallet.
LUCRIN specifies the Luxury Wallet as fully compatible with MagSafe and Qi wireless charging. That is the maker's specification. We have the wallet in hand but did not run a charging or magnet pull test, so read it as LUCRIN's claim rather than our measurement.
LUCRIN lists three card slots and a dedicated bill pocket. If you carry more than three cards day to day, the Zip Wallet, from $255, is the other wallet style in the iPhone 17 range, with a zip closure and card slots.
Both are leather sleeves with a microfiber lining that the phone slides into. The Sleeve with Pull-Tab, from $155, adds a pull-tab on a connected string that lifts the phone out. The Classic Sleeve, from $149, is described by LUCRIN as handcrafted full-grain leather that moulds to the phone over time, with a snug fit.
The Back Cover, from $109, is the lowest entry price in LUCRIN's iPhone 17 range. LUCRIN describes it as full-grain, shock-resistant, MagSafe compatible and microfiber lined. The iPhone Crossbody Pouch, from $329, is the highest.
No. LUCRIN supplied the pieces assessed on this page for testing, which is disclosed at the top of the page. LUCRIN did not pay for the coverage and the verdict was not agreed in advance. Paid placements anywhere on DeskDeploy are labelled where they appear.
